of Hope
Project Introduction:

One month in, the narrative of 2025 seems to be set in place. It marks the beginning of the second, less restricted Trump administration presenting new dangers for humanity and nature; it follows the year -2024- in which the world blew past the 1.5 °C warming limit set out by the Paris Climate Agreement; and it seems to present no end to the rise of reactionary politics across the globe.

For many, hope for a future has never been harder to find, but in order to avert the calamities darkening our doorstep, find it we must. This is the goal of this portraiture project.
This project seeks to counter the narrative of despondence and to speak to marginalised people holding on to hope whilst battling - grass roots on skywards - for the future of us all. It aims to learn about how we as a society can, and must hold onto hope.​
